What is PDR?

Paintless Dent Removal

Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is part of an ever-expanding industry known as SMART repairs. PDR is a highly skilled method of repairing minor dings and dents from a vehicle without the use of filler or paint. This service protects the value of your car and saves you money in comparison to body shops.

The process involves our expert technician using specially designed tools to, quite literally, massage the damaged metal back to its original form.  It’s a very intricate process where the technician is required to push the metal at very precise points from behind the dent. Excellent hand eye co-ordination and patience is essential.

The process of PDR works with various types of dents, dish dents, pin dents and creases for example. The general guideline as to the maximum size of dent that can be repaired is the size of a tennis ball. However, larger dents can also be repaired if an inspection is carried out and certain criteria is met.
